René Descartes's Contribution

René Descartes stated that every aspect needs to have a reason for their existences. "I think, therefore I am." is an example of his idea.  He believed that being doubtful always brought people to further discovery of facts. While the old thinking relied on the Bible, ancient authorities and common senses, the age of Enlightenment required specific theories of circumstances. René Descartes was one of the philosophers who contributed the 'scientific method'. The most scholars in the age of reason used the scientific method in order to discover facts throughout the experiences. Based on Descartes's idea, scholars focused on discovering the factors of cases.
